How to Install IPTV on Enigma2
Dreambox and Vu+. Devices
Enigma2, Dreambox, and Vu+ devices are popular for IPTV streaming, especially in the UK and other regions. This guide will show you how to set up IPTV on these devices using Telnet with the Putty software.
1. Get Your Device's IP Address
- Turn on your Enigma2/Dreambox/Vu+ device.
- Navigate to:
- Settings > Setup > System Network Device Setup Adapter Settings.
- Locate and note your device’s IP address (e.g., 192.168.xxx.xxx).
2. Download and Install Putty Software on Your PC

Install and open Putty on your Windows PC.
3. Configure Putty for Your Device
- Open Putty and enter the following details:
- Host Name (or IP address): Enter the IP address from Step 1.
- Port: Set to 23.
- Connection Type: Select Telnet.
- Click “Open” to initiate the connection.

4. Log In to Your Device
- The default username and password are usually “root”.
- If the “root” login doesn’t work, consult your device’s manual or support.

5. Add Your IPTV Line
- Copy your M3U/Portal URL provided by your IPTV service provider.
- In the Putty terminal, right-click to paste the URL.
- Press “ENTER” to execute the command.

6. Reboot Your Device
- In the Putty terminal, type:
- Press “ENTER” to restart your device.

7. Find Your IPTV Channels
- Once the device restarts, navigate to the IPTV folder on your device.
- You will find all your IPTV channels neatly organized in this folder.
